People across NSW can enjoy a sleep in on Sunday morning as daylight saving comes to an end.

The current daylight saving period officially finishes at 3am on Sunday, April 6 when clocks go back one hour.

“I’m sure many people will use the extra hour to catch up on sleep and are looking forward to the prospect of waking up to sunlight,” Mr Smith said.
Future daylight saving periods will begin on the first Sunday in October and end on the first Sunday in April.

NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the ACT all apply the same daylight saving periods. Daylight saving is not observed in Queensland, Western Australia or the Northern Territory.
