Plan Ahead Van hits the road

NSW Trustee & Guardian hits the road this week touring regional and metropolitan NSW in the Plan Ahead Van to raise awareness about the importance of planning ahead by making a Will, Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship.

Experienced NSW Trustee & Guardian staff will be available on the van to discuss planning ahead and what's involved.

Only five per cent* of adults clearly understand the three documents that are required to plan for the future – Wills, Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship.  When planning ahead documents are in place you can rest assured that you and your loved ones will be looked after if circumstances change through your life. Your rights and wishes can be respected if they are properly documented.

The Plan Ahead Van starts its expedition this Friday, heading north to Tweed Heads for a stall on Saturday. It aims to chalk up more than 2,500 km on its tour concluding in Port Macquarie Thursday 19 March. It will park in each of the selected locations 9am – 3pm, open to the public who can get advice, pick up information and book appointments to make their planning ahead documents. A few fun giveaways will be available too!

The tour will coincide with Seniors Week celebrations and is a part of the planning ahead campaign Get it in black & white.
