As part of Information Awareness Month, the NSW Information Commissioner has released new research that identifies six 'enablers' that promote Open Data and a culture of information sharing in leading Open Data countries.
Commissioned by the Information and Privacy Commission NSW, this independent research by a multi-disciplinary team at the University of NSW provides practical examples of these enablers from the UK, the US, France, Canada and New Zealand.
While NSW has already implemented progressive measures towards achieving Open Data, the report includes a set of insights identified in other jurisdictions that have been shown to have benefit and could be considered in NSW.
