Navigating legal information about recovering money and resolving fencing disputes has become easier with the release of new Guided Pathways on the LawAccess NSW website.
Guided Pathways are an online tool that ask a series of easy-to-understand questions to provide users with tailored responses, and direct them to relevant information and support services. The process is designed to empower people with the resources they need to resolve common ‘everyday’ disputes themselves, at a time and in a way that suits them.
The latest pathways address two of the most in demand LawAccess topics:
These pathways join two others that were launched earlier this year which assist people who are experiencing mortgage stress or have unpaid council rates.
Expansion of Guided Pathways is one of the initiatives under the Civil Justice Action Plan [PDF], released in late 2018. The Plan contains a suite of reforms designed to address key issues experienced by people with civil legal problems. The barriers identified in the plan include the time and cost involved in to address civil legal problems, and access to information that can help guide people to an early resolution. You can read more about the Plan and reforms that are being implemented on the Civil Justice Action Plan page.
