If you are from a culturally and linguistically diverse community and need to access information in a community language, there are a number of free and confidential language assistance options available:

Translating and Interpreter Service – 131 450

The Translating and Interpreter Service offers direct telephone connection to language interpreters. Call 131 450 and ask the interpreter to connect you to the Department of Justice on 02 8688 7777.

Alternatively, use the Justice directory to call the business area you need to talk to and ask them to connect you to an interpreter.

LawAccess NSW is a free government service that provides help to people with a legal problem or query.

You can contact the Translating and Interpreter Service on 131 450 and ask the interpreter to contact LawAccess NSW on 1300 888 529.
