​Legal Services Coordination

Legal Services Coordination aims to foster excellence and best practice legal services and facilitate whole of government collaboration. Legal Services Coordination has a critical role in working with agencies to maintain high quality and value for money legal services for the NSW government.

Legal Services Coordination assists NSW Government agencies to obtain cost effective and appropriate legal services by providing:

  • Support to the General Counsel Group and providing assistance on whole of government initiatives;
  • developing guidelines, policies and best practice standards for legal services;
  • coordinating legal training seminars for government lawyers such as the In-house Government Lawyers Forum; and
  • providing information on legal and policy developments, education and training and internal government initiatives through publication of the bi-monthly In-house Government Lawyers Bulletin.
